Cement factory bringing woe to villagers

A CEMENT concrete mixing factory in Kampung Sungai Buloh, Hutan Melintang, Perak and its impact on the health of nearby villagers is the subject of a report in the Malaysia Nanban.

Resident Ramanaidu Palaya said that dust from the factory had left most of the residents complaining of respiratory problems, throat irritation and skin diseases from the factory’s dust.

Village chairman S. Athvan said they had sent complaint letters asking that the factory be relocated.
